We work in six counties, and each of them prices businesses differently. A Bakersfield HVAC company, a Camarillo device manufacturer and a Paso Robles tasting room are three entirely different sales. Start with your county below.
County seat: Bakersfield
Freedom Business Group is headquartered in Kern County, and it is the market we know foot by foot. We represent owners of service, trade, agriculture-adjacent, manufacturing and healthcare businesses across the county, and we work with buyers relocating capital into Bakersfield from Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
County seat: Ventura
Ventura County is the highest-value market we serve. Owners here run technology-enabled, manufacturing, specialty-food, biotech-adjacent and high-ticket home-service businesses, and buyer competition — including private equity and family offices out of Los Angeles — pushes multiples above inland California.
County seat: Visalia
Tulare County runs on agriculture and dairy, and the businesses that trade here reflect it: equipment dealers and repair shops, trucking, irrigation and pump services, feed and supply, food processing support, and the trades and retail serving Visalia, Tulare and Porterville.
County seat: Fresno
Fresno County is the Central Valley's largest business market, and the one where we see the widest range of deal sizes — from a single-location service business to lower-middle-market manufacturers and distributors with regional footprints.
County seat: Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara County is really two markets. The South Coast — Santa Barbara, Goleta and Carpinteria — trades technology, professional-services, hospitality and premium consumer businesses at coastal multiples. North County — Santa Maria, Lompoc and the Santa Ynez Valley — trades agriculture, wine, construction and community businesses.
County seat: San Luis Obispo
San Luis Obispo County attracts more relocating buyers per available business than anywhere else we work. Owners of hospitality, wine, home-service, professional and specialty-retail businesses here often find the buyer pool includes people specifically trying to move to the Central Coast.
